قَالَ ٱلْمَلَأُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ مِن قَوْمِهِۦ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟ لِمَنْ ءَامَنَ مِنْهُمْ أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ صَـٰلِحًا مُّرْسَلٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ ۚ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا بِمَآ أُرْسِلَ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنُونَ
English Translations
Said the eminent ones who were arrogant among his people to those who were oppressed - to those who believed among them, "Do you [actually] know that Ṣāliḥ is sent from his Lord?" They said, "Indeed we, in that with which he was sent, are believers."
The leaders of those who were arrogant among his people said to those who were counted weak - to such of them as believed: "Know you that Salih (Saleh) is one sent from his Lord." They said: "We indeed believe in that with which he has been sent."
The haughty chiefs of his people said to those of the oppressed who had believed (in the Messenger), “Do you know for sure that SāliH is a messenger from his Lord?” They said, “Of course, we believe in what he has been sent with.”
The haughty elders of his people said to those believers who had been oppressed: 'Do you know that Salih is one sent forth with a message from his Lord?' They, replied: 'Surely we believe in the message with which he has been sent.'
The chieftains of his people, who were scornful, said unto those whom they despised, unto such of them as believed: Know ye that Salih is one sent from his Lord? They said: Lo! In that wherewith he hath been sent we are believers.
The leaders of the arrogant party among his people said to those who were reckoned powerless - those among them who believed: "know ye indeed that Salih is a messenger from his Lord?" They said: "We do indeed believe in the revelation which hath been sent through him."

তার জাতির গর্বিত প্রধানগণ ঐসব লোকদেরকে বলেছিল যাদেরকে দুর্বল করে রাখা হয়েছিল, যারা তাদের মধ্যে ঈমান এনেছিল- ‘‘তোমরা কি জান যে সালিহ তার প্রতিপালক কর্তৃক প্রেরিত? তারা বলেছিল, ‘তিনি যে বাণী নিয়ে প্রেরিত হয়েছেন তাতে আমরা বিশ্বাসী’।
তার কওমের অহঙ্কারী নেতৃবৃন্দ তাদের সেই মুমিনদেরকে বলল যাদেরকে দুর্বল মনে করা হত, ‘তোমরা কি জান যে, সালিহ তার রবের পক্ষ থেকে প্রেরিত’? তারা বলল, ‘নিশ্চয় সে যা নিয়ে প্রেরিত হয়েছে, আমরা তাতে বিশ্বাসী’।
তার সম্প্রদায়ের দাম্ভিক প্রধানরা তাদের মধ্যকার দুর্বল ও উৎপীড়িত মু’মিনদেরকে বললঃ তোমরা কি বিশ্বাস কর যে, সালিহ তার রাব্ব কর্তৃক প্রেরিত হয়েছে? তারা উত্তরে বললঃ নিশ্চয়ই যে বার্তাসহ সে প্রেরিত হয়েছে, আমরা তা বিশ্বাস করি।
তাঁর সম্প্রদায়ের অহংকারী নেতারা সে সম্প্রদায়ের যারা ঈমান এনেছিল- যাদেরকে দুর্বল মনে করা হত তাদেরকে বলল, ‘তোমরা কি জান যে, সালিহ তার রব এর পক্ষ থেকে প্রেরিত?’ তারা বলল, ‘নিশ্চয় তিনি যা নিয়ে প্রেরিত হয়েছেন, আমরা তার উপর ঈমানদার।’
তার সম্প্রদায়ের দাম্ভিক প্রধানেরা সে সম্প্রদায়ের ঈমানদার যাদেরকে দুর্বল মনে করা হত তাদেরকে বলল: ‘তোমরা কি জান যে, সালেহ ‘আল্লাহ কর্তৃক প্রেরিত?’ তারা বলল: ‘তার প্রতি যে বাণী প্রেরিত হয়েছে আমরা তাতে বিশ্বাসী।’
৭৫. তাঁর সম্প্রদায়ের অহঙ্কারী গণ্যমান্য ও নেতৃস্থানীয়রা শক্তি-সামর্থ্যহীন মু’মিনদেরকে বললো: হে মু’মিনরা! তোমরা কি মনে করো সত্যিকারার্থেই সালিহ আল্লাহর রাসূল? মু’মিনরা তাদের উত্তরে বললো: আমরা সালিহ (আলাইহিস-সালাম) কে যা দিয়ে পাঠানো হয়েছে তা সবই বিশ্বাস, স্বীকার ও অনুসরণ করি। উপরন্তু তাঁর শরীয়তের উপর আমল করি।
