2 আল-বাকারা Al-Baqarah · 286 আয়াত البقرة
আরবি
وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ نَبَذَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ كِتَـٰبَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
English Translations
And when a messenger from Allāh came to them confirming that which was with them, a party of those who had been given the Scripture threw the Scripture of Allāh [i.e., the Torah] behind their backs as if they did not know [what it contained].
And when there came to them a Messenger from Allah (i.e. Muhammad Peace be upon him) confirming what was with them, a party of those who were given the Scripture threw away the Book of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know!
And when a messenger from Allah came to them, confirming what was already with them, some from among the people of the Book threw the Book of Allah behind their backs, as if they did not know.
And whenever a Messenger from Allah came to them, confirming what they already possessed, a party of those who had been given the Scripture flung the Book of Allah behind their backs as if they knew nothing,
And when there cometh unto them a messenger from Allah, confirming that which they possess, a party of those who have received the Scripture fling the Scripture of Allah behind their backs as if they knew not,
And when there came to them a messenger from Allah, confirming what was with them, a party of the people of the Book threw away the Book of Allah behind their backs, as if (it had been something) they did not know!
বাংলা অনুবাদ
এবং যখন তাদের কাছে আল্লাহর পক্ষ হতে রসূল আসল যে এদের নিকট যে কিতাব রয়েছে, সেই কিতাবের সমর্থক, তখন যাদেরকে কিতাব দেয়া হয়েছিল তাদের একদল আল্লাহর কিতাবকে পিঠের পিছনে ফেলে দিল, যেন তারা কিছুই জানে না।
আর যখন তাদের নিকট আল্লাহর কাছ থেকে একজন রাসূল এল, তাদের সাথে যা আছে তা সমর্থন করে, তখন আহলে কিতাবের একটি দল আল্লাহর কিতাবকে তাদের পেছনে ফেলে দিল, (এভাবে যে) মনে হয় যেন তারা জানে না।
এবং যখন আল্লাহর নিকট হতে, তাদের নিকট যা আছে তার সত্য প্রত্যয়নকারী রাসূল তাদের নিকট আগমন করল, তখন যাদেরকে গ্রন্থ প্রদান করা হয়েছে তাদের একদল আল্লাহর গ্রন্থকে নিজেদের পশ্চাদভাগে নিক্ষেপ করল, যেন তারা কিছুই জানেনা।
আর যখন আল্লাহ্র পক্ষ থেকে তাদের নিকট একজন রাসূল আসলেন, তাদের কাছে যা রয়েছে তার সত্যায়নকারী হিসেবে, তখন যাদেরকে কিতাব দেয়া হয়েছিলো তাদের একদল আল্লাহ্র কিতাবকে পিছনে ছুঁড়ে ফেললো, যেন তারা জানেই না।
আর যখন আল্লাহর নিকট হতে তাদের নিকট যা আছে তার সত্যায়নকারী রাসূল তাদের নিকট আগমন করল, তখন যাদেরকে গ্রন্থ দেয়া হয়েছে তাদের একদল আল্ল্হার গ্রন্থকে নিজেদের পশ্চাদ্ভাগে নিক্ষেপ করল যেন তারা কিছুই জানে না।
১০১. যখন মুহাম্মাদ (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম) তাদের নিকট আল্লাহর রাসূল হিসেবে আসলেন, আর তাওরাতে বর্ণিত বৈশিষ্ট্যের সাথে তাঁর হুবহু মিলও রয়েছে তারপরও তাদের এক দল তা থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিয়েছে। তারা সেটাকে তাদের পেছনে ফেলে দিয়েছে। তার প্রতি তারা একটুও ভ্রূক্ষেপ করেনি। তাদের দৃষ্টান্ত হলো এমন এক মূর্খের ন্যায় যে কিতাবে বর্ণিত কোন সত্য ও হিদায়েত দ্বারা লাভবান হয় না। এমনকি সে তার প্রতি যৎসামান্যও ভ্রূক্ষেপ করে না।

আর যখন আল্লাহ্র পক্ষ থেকে তাদের নিকট একজন রাসূল আসলেন, তাদের কাছে যা রয়েছে তার সত্যায়নকারী হিসেবে, তখন যাদের কে কিতাব দেয়া হয়েছিলো তাদের একদল আল্লাহ্র কিতাবকে পিছনে ছুঁড়ে ফেললো, যেন তারা জানেই না।
